Mississippi’s only nonprofit, psychiatric residential treatment facility.
Serving Mississippi for over 30 years, Canopy’s CARES Center is a 24-hour, 60-bed intensive psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) serving children and youth ages 6 to 17 with severe emotional and/or behavioral challenges.
Solutions offered in the residential setting help provide a structured learning environment where children and youth can learn to better manage challenging thoughts and behaviors. Upon accomplishing goals, support is provided to the family to assist the child or youth in successfully transitioning back into the home and community.

WHAT IS HOPE?
Hope is the belief that your future can be brighter than your past and that you have the power to make it so. Hope is about goals, pathways and willpower. A goal without a pathway is just a wish. It’s important to set SMART goals, and to be flexible and resilient for barriers that may get in the way of reaching your goal.
Setting SMART goals can help set you up for success. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time bound. Each goal should include all five parts to help make a clear plan. The more specific your goal is, the more likely you are to be successful.

- Large goals can be broken into smaller goals.
Pathways are the roadmap to success. They are a series of steps to obtain your goal, and sometimes we need multiple pathways to reach our goals.
