Canopy Seeks Students to Participate in Youth Ambassador Program

Canopy Children’s Solutions (Canopy) is excited to announce that our Youth Ambassador Program is back for the 2021 fall semester. This program provides students the ability to serve the community through in-person and virtual opportunities while earning up to 30 service hours as a Canopy Youth Ambassador.

During Canopy’s Youth Ambassador program last fall, we were able to engage over 150 high school students from school districts throughout the state. It was exciting to see Youth Ambassadors on social media, as well as during monthly virtual trainings where they learned and participated in activities focused on the importance of promoting mental wellness and sharing messages of hope, kindness, and resilience within their communities.

This fall opportunity will begin on September 21 and will be completed by December 31.  Ambassadors will have the chance to volunteer and participate in two in-person events, Canopy’s Butterfly Ball (October 4-9) and the Canopy Golf Classic, (November 5–15). There will also be an opportunity to participate virtually in the Illuminate Hope multi-media campaign (sponsored by Baptist). This campaign is designed for students to learn about the science of hope and the importance of mental wellness (training sessions offered via Zoom) and then create and share their own hope-themed messaging.

Below is the link to Canopy’s Youth Ambassador sign-up. Please share with your students and faculty. Important – the deadline for students to sign up is September 15th. The more students to sign-up help us elevate mental wellness, the better!
