Canopy Children’s Solutions Receives In-Kind Donations from National Brand Partners

Children at Canopy Children’s Solutions will have extra warmth and comfort this Christmas thanks to several partners.

Canopy is proud to partner with the Hanes Corporation who generously donated socks for youth in Canopy’s programs. The donation was part of the Hanes for Good campaign which seeks to bring a face to homeless and raise awareness to health and well-being issues that affect the homeless population. Many of Canopy’s programs work with runaway, homeless and abused youth throughout the state, including Canopy’s Warren County Children’s Shelter in Vicksburg.

“We work with families from all walks of life,” said John Damon, Canopy CEO. “Some of our children have experienced homelessness. Many of our children know what it is like to not have access to critical items that they need like food, clothing and adequate shelter. We are grateful to work with Hanes to ensure that kids never have to want for the things they need.”

Both the Hanes and PetSmart donations were distributed to each of Canopy’s 19 statewide locations to be distributed to children this Christmas.

Canopy serves more than 5,000 children and families each year who experience various behavioral health, education and social service issues. The population served spans all 82 Mississippi counties with the largest populations being served within their homes and local communities.

We are tremendously thankful to our partners in the surrounding community who help to make the season a little brighter for our children. If you are interested in making a donation, please visit our I Want to Help page on the Canopy website.
