Today, 1 in 5 children face a serious behavioral health challenge. Where would you turn? Canopy Children’s Solutions, formerly Mississippi Children’s Home Services, provides safe, nurturing environments for children and families in need of hope. As the state’s most comprehensive provider of children’s behavioral health, educational and social service solutions, Canopy supports children and families through individualized care, assuring every child can be a success story.

“Our name has recently changed; however, our commitment to providing evidence-based, quality care to children and families along the Gulf Coast and throughout Mississippi remains steadfast,” said Dr. John Damon, CEO of Canopy Children’s Solutions.

Canopy’s Behavioral Health Clinic offers convenient outpatient treatment for ADHD, depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health struggles for children and youth up to age 21. When more intensive therapy is needed, CARES Center Gulf Coast, provides individualized residential treatment while helping the family develop skills necessary to thrive. Canopy’s intensive in-home solution, MYPAC, combines intensive therapeutic and wraparound services to help keep the child in his/her home and community. Canopy’s Comprehensive Family Support Services Program provides solutions in family preservation and reunification. For children struggling in traditional classroom settings, Canopy’s CARES School Gulfport is a fully-accredited, non-public special purpose school that offers individualized education plans based on the grade level and personal needs of each student. The CARES School also provides a specialized class for children on the autism spectrum.

Canopy’s South Mississippi Child Advocacy Center (CAC) offers forensic interviewing for children who have experienced severe abuse, neglect or have fallen victim to or witnessed violent crimes. Through the CAC, children only give account to traumatic events once. The CAC then brings together a team of medical professionals, child advocates, and law enforcement to support the needs of the child and effectively prosecute criminal offenders.

Canopy helps children thrive and families overcome extraordinary challenges with specialized solutions designed to meet a child and family’s individual needs. By seamlessly moving children through our continuum, they are constantly supported through their journey. At Canopy, we believe in the power of transformation.
