The Lee Joyner Memorial Tennis Classic was held throughout the weekend of May 2, 2025, launching Mental Health Awareness Month with a meaningful blend of celebration, remembrance and impact. The weekend began with a special Friday night gathering featuring inspiring entertainment from the Mississippi Mass Choir and appearances by legendary doubles team Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan. Guests enjoyed a memorable meet and greet with the Bryan Brothers, setting the stage for a high-energy tennis tournament that included an exhibition match and competitive play throughout the weekend.
Held in honor of Lee Joyner’s love for the game, the event raised awareness and support for Canopy. Canopy’s critical mission and transformative outcomes make it a powerful partner in turning loss into lasting impact for children and families.
The success of the event was recognized across the region, earning both the Mississippi Tennis Association Special Event of the Year award and the Southern Special Event of the Year award.
