Canopy Children’s Solutions (Canopy) was awarded a special-project grant by the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. The grant will support the development of a Children’s Resource Room that will be located in Canopy’s community office located at 9855 Highway 178 in Olive Branch.
Canopy’s Children’s Resource Room would provide parents, child advocates, and others in the community with a centralized location to find children and parenting resources. The room would also serve as a therapeutic safe space for families in the community with children in the foster care system or those parenting foster children.
“We are excited to partner with the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi to offer this free resource to the community,” said Jody Herring, North Regional Director for Canopy Children’s Solutions.
“It can be really scary when a child is struggling with emotional or behavioral challenges and now parents, teachers, friends, and family will have a place they can come to learn how to best support their child.”
More details to be announced soon regarding when Canopy’s Children’s Resource Room will open.
