The D1 Training Jackson facility hosted a special workout fundraiser on Saturday, April 27. The D1 Goes Blue event was free and open to the public. Participants and attendees were encouraged to wear blue for autism awareness as part of the event.
“D1 wants to be a community of inclusion for individuals of all athletic abilities because a strong body promotes a strong mind and overall good health,” said trainer William Tripplett. “Through this event, we want to show our commitment to inclusion and acceptance and create more opportunities for youth with autism and other special needs in the near future.”
Congratulations to raffle winners McKenzie Coleman and Robin Gourley!
The event offered a fundraising opportunity through an online raffle which raised $750 for Canopy Autism Solutions. Two winners were drawn and had the opportunity to choose between a free monthly membership or personal training.
Thank you to everyone who came and participated in D1 Goes Blue and to D1 Training Jackson for partnering with Canopy for Autism Awareness.
