Sleep – A Vital Component in Mental Wellbeing

According to data collected by the CDC in 2018 and 2019, 52.5% of children in Mississippi do not get the recommended hours of sleep per day for their age – a higher percentage than any other state in the U.S. Sleep plays a vital role in both physical and mental health. This session will discuss the importance of sleep, assessing for insufficient sleep in clients we serve, and how to work with clients and their families to improve their sleep, thereby improving their mental health.
