Canopy Staff Present at Jackson Trauma Conference

Several members of the Canopy Children’s Solutions team were featured presenters at the 2018 Trauma Informed Care Conference in Jackson, MS. Canopy’s Sarah Howe, MS, Organizational Development Training Specialist, spoke on ways to create healing classrooms through the use of trauma informed care and the necessity of training trauma informed teachers and staff in schools.

Canopy’s Monica Roberts, LPC, CARES Center Therapist, and Caleb Cauthen, MS, Outpatient Therapist, presented on the use of play therapy as an effective tool when working with children who have experienced trauma and how the use of play therapy can aid in communication, healing, and overall development.
