Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects 1 in every 68 children and 1 in every 42 boys. In Mississippi alone, there are more than 10,000 children on the autism spectrum. While this is not a new diagnosis, the rate of diagnosis is escalating at alarming rates. The need to raise awareness and promote public education of this condition is more important than ever.
In our efforts to support and raise awareness of autism spectrum disorder, we are asking Mississippi businesses and individuals to get involved in autism awareness activities during April, which serves as National Autism Awareness Month.
