Canopy has made noteworthy progress toward creating a great place to work for all employees through Culture and Engagement initiatives.

CEO Engagement Discussions

Canopy’s CEO Engagement Discussions, held quarterly, facilitate direct communication between Dr. John D. Damon and our employees, aligning our actions with Canopy’s mission and values. Over the past year, these sessions, conducted with the Chief People Officer, have provided invaluable insights that guide our growth and progress.

Town Hall Meetings

Canopy also hosts two virtual Town Hall sessions annually, led by Dr. John D. Damon, to share updates, reinforce our vision, and engage teams across the organization. These sessions foster open dialogue, collective brainstorming, a sense of unity and shared responsibility.

Learning Opportunities

In 2023, Culture and Engagement hosted two Lunch and Learns: Table Talks and Week of Understanding, creating small, safe spaces for building relationships. These sessions featured special guests discussing Mississippi’s historical events, inspiring employees to embrace diversity across the organization.

Table Talks

The Table Talks initiative was created to provide a safe and inclusive space for employees to engage in meaningful conversations and learn about diverse cultures. Facilitated by a member of the Culture and Engagement council, these sessions encouraged attendees to share their experiences, raising awareness and fostering mutual understanding.

Food Trucks

Over the summer of 2023, Culture and Engagement organized food trucks offering a variety of cuisine from barbecue to Southern fried catfish at each community office for the first time, bringing everyone together through food and fellowship.

CANOPY HAS ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT

PROGRESS IN CREATING A GREAT PLACE TO WORK®

Each year, employees take part in the Great Place to Work® Trust Index© Survey to celebrate our strengths and identify opportunities for growth, ensuring we continue to foster a positive and supportive work environment. In 2024, we expanded our efforts by incorporating pulse surveys, providing valuable real-time feedback on key topics to help us better understand and respond to the evolving needs of our team.

of employees say that Canopy is a great place to work compared to 57% of employees at a typical US-based company

My work has special meaning; this is not “just a job.”

I feel good about the ways we contribute to the community.

I am able to take time off from work when I think it’s necessary.

I feel I make a difference here.

When I look at what we accomplish, I feel a sense of pride.
