Canopy has made noteworthy progress towards creating a great place to work for all employees through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Canopy prioritizes Culture and Engagement through several programs to engage the workforce:

CEO Engagement Discussion

Quarterly, Canopy CEO Dr. John D. Damon and Canopy Chief People Officer Taheti Watson travel across Mississippi to meet with employees to foster safe psychological spaces for employees to openly discuss their experiences and give feedback for improving the workplace.

Town Hall Meetings

Hosted twice a year, this is a time for Dr. John D. Damon to address employees on the state of our industry and organization. It is a time for employees to ask questions and engage with leadership.

Various Learning Opportunities

The DEI Council hosted three Lunch & Learns in 2022 which included guest speakers covering Mississippi’s different historical moments aimed to inspire employees to embrace diversity across the organization.
