As we reflect on 2024, one truth stands above all: every moment truly does matter. Whether it’s a quiet act of service, a courageous first step taken by a child, or a bold innovation brought to life by our team—each moment, no matter how small, contributes to something far greater. At Canopy Children’s Solutions (Canopy), we believe these moments are the catalysts that transform lives and shape a brighter future for Mississippi’s children and families.

This year, we were privileged to serve more children and families than ever before—13,681 children and 24,426 family members—responding to over 56,000 calls for support. From expanding upstream services like LINK and in-CIRCLE, to preparing for full-scale implementations of Canopy Anywhere in schools, and celebrating new CARES School campuses in Biloxi and Hattiesburg, our impact is growing across every corner of the state. We strengthened our workforce, onboarded 224 new team members, invested in leadership development, achieved our financial sustainability goals, and earned “Great Place to Work” certification for the fourth consecutive year. These are not just milestones—they are moments made possible by intentional daily choices from a team unified by Canopy’s mission.

Our innovation journey accelerated in 2024 with the development of a structured review process to elevate the voices of our children, families, and staff—guiding solution design and delivery. Canopy Anywhere is a shining example—recognized nationally as a top “Point of Light” by KLAS Research. With bold goals to reach one million children by 2025, our roadmap begins in Mississippi with a commitment to reach 80% of middle and high school students statewide in the coming years. We are especially grateful to the Madison County School District for their visionary partnership as our pilot location in this transformative work.

This year also marked a new chapter as Canopy became the Mississippi state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America. This designation affirms our unique role in shaping advocacy, building coalitions, and driving systemic solutions that nurture families and prevent harm. With this stewardship comes responsibility—and Canopy stands ready to lead with humility, integrity, and hope.

As we complete Year 2 of our strategic plan, we do so with alignment, clarity, and measurable progress. Each of our three strategic pillars—organizational effectiveness, expanded influence, and innovation in mental wellness—continues to advance, with more than 80% of our key performance indicators (KPI) on track or fully achieved. This level of intentionality positions us to deliver not just solutions, but meaningful outcomes. Because for us, success is defined by one thing: transformed lives.

As we look ahead, we remain deeply committed to our vision: to be the go-to source for innovative solutions that transform the lives of children and families. We know the work is not easy—but it is essential. And together, with your continued trust and partnership, we will ensure every moment continues to matter.
