Gratitude is the foundation of joy and showing gratitude by helping others is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. With the effects of the pandemic followed by an unusually active hurricane season, more Gulf Coast families than normal will struggle to provide their children with holiday cheer. You can help spread joy to local children by helping to support Canopy Children’s Solutions’ South Mississippi Child Advocacy Center (SMCAC) Annual Gift Drive.
There are a number of ways you and your organization can participate.
- Sign up as a SMCAC drop-off location; we will provide you with a collection box and flyers
- Encourage employees, patrons and constituents to collect toys for donation by posting a SMCAC Gift Drive Flyer
- Help SMCAC advertise how others can get involved
Donations of new, unwrapped toys and gifts will be accepted through December 15, 2020. SMCAC is seeking to provide gifts for approximately 75 children ages 3 to 17 from George, Greene, Harrison, Jackson and Stone Counties served by the center as well as up to 50 additional children from the surrounding Gulf Coast region who are served by Canopy’s community solutions.
